Jordan Warner
Mathematics Teacher; Golf and Basketball coach

Growing up in Roblin, Manitoba, Jordan Warner played a variety of sports in his youth, with his main focus on hockey and baseball. After graduating from high school as one of the top scholar/athletes in Manitoba, he obtained both his Bachelor of Science (Math and Physics) and Bachelor of Education with distinction from the University of Manitoba. He arrived at Brentwood in the fall of 2007 to teach mathematics and coach. On sport afternoons, he can be found coaching junior boys basketball or at the golf course with the Brentwood Golf Team. In his spare time, he can often be found at the hockey rink or baseball diamond coaching one of his children’s teams. A former Assistant Houseparent of Rogers House, Mr. Warner currently lives with his wife and three children in Alexandra House.
Golf
During the spring term, Brentwood Golf welcomes students of all levels, to improve their skills and compete while enjoying the majestic courses and beautiful weather of the surrounding area. The Golf Program includes both beginners and players on junior national teams.
Brentwood Golf practices three times per week during sport afternoons at our home course, the nearby Cowichan Golf Club. Here they work with the club’s professionals to improve all aspects of their game. Players work with coaches on the driving range and putting greens before heading out onto the course. Competitive players can look forward to participating in tournaments at other local courses—such as Arbutus Ridge Golf Club, and the Victoria Golf Club—in addition to travelling to other school events on Vancouver Island.
Competitive events that students can expect to attend are the ISAs, Victoria Police Golf Tournament, Islands, and BC Secondary Provincial Championships (Provincials).
The team finishes each season with The John Garvey Cup—a student versus staff Ryder Cup-style event—and The Soukop Championship, a School-hosted tournament for the top male and female golfer on campus.
