Senior Girls Soccer

The Senior Girls soccer team travelled to Campbell River to participate in what has become an annual fixture, the Carihi Investors Group Challenge, to test themselves against Mainland & Island talent. Playing four games over the two days pushed the team physically and mentally, particularly given that a few injuries quickly took us to a place where no one was available for substitutions. The girls also shared goaltending responsibilities when our keeper couldn’t make the trip. The squad responded admirably proving to themselves & their opponents that teamwork, determination, and a belief in themselves can overcome almost any situation or opponent. MVP for the Brentwood side went to Gillian M, Alex ‘16 who anchored the backline and put in a stint as goaltender against one of the top tournament teams. Scoring 11 goals and conceding 8 over the tournament, the Senior Girls gave a good account of themselves. Mr. Gord Horth, Coach
