To Market, To Market

To Market, To Market

The 44th Annual Brentwood Regatta sold hundreds of programs and each program had a total of 65 ads. Each ad was organized and set up by the Grade 10 students in Mr. Lawrence’s Marketing 11 class. Hours were spent calling companies, restaurants and stores asking for their support.  Marketing 11 is an elective offered to Grade 10 students. Throughout the year we’ve learned how to direct products to certain consumers with advertisements, the determinants of the supply and demand curves, how to make a mini-billboard and we have had many class discussions. The course is very interactive and it forces students to step out of their comfort zone. Nothing but smiles walk out of our classroom in Crooks after our informative an creative classes. If you are looking for a fun, eventful, and busy class, then Marketing is the course for you! You have the chance to show your talent on camera when we make our own commercials and videos. You can show your artistic skills when we draw original products and story boards. Let your creativity shine through your projects and assignments. Marketing is not just an educational elective, it’s a hands-on class that I guarantee you will enjoy.  Rachel J, Hope ‘16
