Just over a week ago, two Bio AP classes, led by Mr. McCarthy, began a marine adventure that left them with a stronger bond with biology. Bamfield is a highly sought after trip for the science enthusiast. Placed in the serene West Coast village of Bamfield is the Marine Science Center where we had the opportunity to explore many aspects of the magnificent local marine life.  We conducted experiments with sea grass and the behaviours of sea life which led to much curiosity and fun. We really enjoyed the boat rides to excavate samples from the bottom of the ocean and late nights playing with the sparkly bioluminescence or having campfires. Bamfield wasn’t just beautiful, it was the best biology trip we ever attended. Danielle DW, Mackenzie ‘15
