Brooking No Opposition

The Captain of Brentwood’s Senior Girls Basketball team this year, Brooke L, Allard ’13 recently signed her letter of intent to play basketball at the Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) level next year with Mount Royal University in Calgary.

Brooke has previously played for the Saskatchewan U15 provincial team and this past summer was a member of Saskatchewan’s U18 provincial team that finished 5th at Nationals. She continued her strong play throughout the high school season as Brentwood’s point guard.

Her list of individual accolades numbered many, including being named to the All-Star team at the Wellington tournament, winning the 3 point competition at the Mark Isfeld tournament, and being named to the North Island Graduating All-Star team. For the season, Brooke averaged 23.3 points per game, including a season and career high of 41 points. She also earned her Senior Athletics Colours and received the Coach’s Award trophy.

Brooke will conclude her high school career on Saturday, April 6th at St. Margaret’s School in Victoria as the North Island All-Stars take on their South Island rivals at 6:15pm. Brentwood wishes Brooke continued success and looks forward to following her career at Mount Royal University.
