Canadian Universities Visit Brentwood
Representatives from 50 universities all over Canada visited Brentwood this past Wednesday. The event was held in the exam centre and was available for all students from Grades 10 to 12. The Grade 12s, who will be leaving Brentwood in the spring, came down to listen and ask question about the universities that they will soon be applying to while the Grade 11s looked around getting ready for next year. This event also welcomed students from St. Margaret’s and Shawnigan Lake School. Lots of universities gained the students’ attention with lavish booklets and pens, which students couldn’t resist. The school reps tried their best to explain and answer questions that the students had. The University of Waterloo, Queen’s University and The University of British Colombia gained the most attention from the students; this kept their stations busy. Student also got to learn about universities that they never heard of. Doors were opened. Student left the building with more knowledge and a handful of booklets. This event helped our students with the hard decision of choosing the universities they want to attend. Thank you to all the university representatives who enthusiastically answered all of our questions and our University Counsellors for organising the event!
