Dancing for Youth – An Evening of Dance

These past few weeks have been incredibly hectic for all the students participating in the Evening of Dance and it won`t get any easier in the coming weeks. Leading up to the annual Evening of Dance, our students and staff members are working really hard to make the show one of the best you’ve ever seen.  As you walk into the dance studio on the north side the T. Gil Bunch Centre for the Performing Arts, you can feel the passion that all of us dancers and teachers are working with, even if it`s just looking for the right costume, because, honestly, who doesn’t want to look good on stage? 😉 We’ve spent weeks working on the choreography, making the final touch ups and thinking about performing in front of all these people.  Our dance program is open to everyone, new dancers as well as advanced. There will be performances from three different groups: Junior, Intermediate and Advanced Dance as well as several solo pieces. This year`s Evening of Dance will have the theme youth as well a wide range of styles including contemporary, ballet, hip hop, and tap.  In order to prepare for our performances and rock the stage, Mrs. Blake has managed arrange a competition in Victoria, which will take place on Wednesday, April 29th. If you get a chance, come out and support our dancers in Victoria! I already want to thank Mrs. Blake and Mrs. Sam for making all this happen and choreographing amazing pieces of art. I`m confident that the Evening of Dance will be incredibly exciting, emotional and successful, so I`m looking forward to seeing you all in the Bunch Theatre on May 7th and 8th! Anna P, Allard `17
