First Home Game

The Brentwood Senior Girls’ Soccer team kicked off on the right foot with a 2-1 win against Cowichan High School on Thursday afternoon. A strong defensive line included Gillian M, Mollie M, Isabelle D & Lauren H who dominated their way through the entire game only letting in one goal even though Cowichan’s offense was persistent. Our striker, Karly D scored the first goal of the game but it was equaled at the end of the first half by Cowichan. Then Erin M scored the second goal and snuck in a slide-tackle. Berit B had some smoking shots as well as our center midfields Jess H, Sarah L & Sarah M who were rocking both the offensive and defensive positions. On the wings were Karli S, Sidney H, Renee L & Claire P who were running up and down the field like they had the lungs of Michael Phelps. In goal, Hannah W made some great saves and showed off her ninja-like skills while both Karlien L and Rissa A cheered on the team with injuries on the sideline. It was great to have so much support from the school and to have our first home game result in a win!
