Interhouse Floor Hockey – A Twofold Victory

One of the most anticipated interhouse events of the year, floor hockey excites both players and spectators. Hockey has always been a central part of Canadian culture, but unfortunately we cannot host an interhouse ice hockey competition due to logistics and safety concerns. Each house, however, managed to field highly competitive teams in both the senior and junior categories with a mix of ice hockey players and field hockey players leading the charge. As always, hockey, even floor hockey, unleashes unparalleled enthusiasm in the student body with most of the school turned out to watch. The stands were filled with supporters and blazer-clad coaches brandishing clipboards lined the player benches. Whittall-Alex won both Junior and Senior categories, but some of the highlights of the game came from Ellis-Mackenzie’s Tara B, who, getting into the spirit of a game she’s never played in her native Australia, took one for her team and won a head butt contest with a wall.
