This past Friday, January 9th and Saturday the 10th three epic brawls for basketball glory took place between Brentwood’s Junior Girls Basketball team and the Stellys Stingers, Ballena Whalers, and Dover Bay in the Junior Girls Island Challenge Tournament. Every member of our team pushed their hardest, fueled by the remnants of their (now regretful) holiday feasts and ever-diminishing shot clock. Words of encouragement from the bench as well as from the fans kept the team defense on edge and our offense strong. Finishing 8th out of 12 teams left adequate room for reflecting upon ourselves as individuals and as a team. Heads held high, we are working hard in anticipation of the games to come.
