Do you have it in you to be a 007 agent? Last Tuesday night the students in Mr. Collis’s English 10 genre unit, Ian Fleming (better known as the James Bond unit), were brave enough to find out. The students have read and studied the Bond books for the past two and half weeks. As their final task ,it was asked of them to complete a mission created by the Bond expert himself, Mr. Collis. At 8 pm sharp, Agent P emailed the agents with the 5 locations in which there were hidden envelopes. Witt critical information on the microdot that had been stolen from agent 005, the security of the nation was in danger. There was only one envelope that contained the microdot and an Octopussy post card. The other four envelopes were to the throw spies off the scent of the right location. Sharply dressed, they began the first mission task, escaping from their rooms during prep without being caught. If a prefect or staff noticed their absence, Blofeld would be contacted and their mission completion would not be valid. Never would I have guessed you could sneak out of prep, but I will never say never again. Prep, to say the least, was a little shaken, not stirred. You could not simply find these envelopes and then bring them back to mission control, Agent P. You had to get past obstacles such as vicious animals, ladies who could only be bought with seduction, and the most vicious of them all, Mr. Felix. Running around for 45 minutes was exhilarating and fun, but it all came to end when Victor R, Whittall ‘16 brought back the Octopussy post card and microchip.
