Many Hands Make for Light Work

The Brentwood Regatta has officially started (well OK, the wind has delayed racing, but the fun has certainly started) and our beautiful campus has been transformed into its famous, world-renowned Regatta state. The transformation, from school to EVENT, was so smooth that it could almost be said that it was magically done overnight.

Well, not quite.

In order to keep this Regatta running smoothly and meeting its expectations of pure excellence, there is a lot of hard work to be done. Lucky enough for Brentwood College, there is an abundance of students, staff, faculty, parents and alumni eager to help out around the school. More than 600, in fact.

Many hands make for light work!

Each student on campus has been assigned a job. These jobs include being on duty in the dining room, uploading webphotos, cleaning up, manning the first aid station, keeping the campus clean, selling logo-wear, announcing, operating the start line, boat holding, boat driving, parking, giving out information, delivering meals, washing/driving boats, and giving out prizes.

While the connotations of the term ‘job’ may not always be so positive, Regatta jobs are on a whole new set of terms. Volunteering in the Brentwood Regatta means meeting amazing people, and experiencing one of the best high school regattas in the world.

The volunteers at Brentwood are what make this Regatta so personable and exceptional.
