We often refer to Brentwood as our little boarding school bubble, but in this bubble we still follow the trends of the outside world. As most of you know, one current trend is taking selfies. On April 9th, Mr. Patel announced that Brentwood had a new competition: Selfie With Patel. This competition became my favorite so far. The point of it is you need to take a selfie with Mr. Patel (a Patelfie) and send to it him. Last week 40 students participated in the contest; the winner was Andrea M, Mackenzie ‘18. She won a selfie-stick for getting a photo of herself, dressed as a nun, with Mr. Patel on his front lawn. I asked Mr. Patel how he is judging photos and he said, ”I have community who judges it, so the winner is decided after all the photos are looked at. It is secret community.” Good news for all students is that the #SelfieWithPatel doesn’t end until the end of third term!
