Super Start to the Senior’s Season

Our Varsity Girls Soccer team headed off to Duncan Christian for a friendly pre-season warm up for both squads. Led by team Captain Lauren H, Allard ‘15 the girls suited up under the glorious sun and prepared for their first game. Starting strong, Mitali P, Mackenzie ‘16 scored the first goal of the season: this fired the girl up with excitement. We worked out some kinks and continued to grow more comfortable with each other as the game continued. With girls battling hard and putting continuous pressure on our opponents, we were able to expand our lead with many girls on our team being able to score and Katlan S, Allard ’16 achieving a hat trick! With everyone switching up positions in order to find a solid team dynamic, Hannah W, Allard ’15 and Milati P, Mackenzie ’16 shared the goalkeeping duties with both keeping a clean sheet. As a Grade 12 starting my final season as a Brentwood athlete, I’m glad it is with this team and these girls and I look forward to our future successes. Mollie MG, Mackenzie ‘15
