Early each June, the student of Mr. Collis’ and Mrs. Widenmaier’s Literature 12 courses, having read Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice, enjoy a tea party on Whiskey Point as guests of the Wilsons. Here is the news from this spring’s event: Dear Lords and Ladies: I am pleased to announce that Lady Sylvia Pickle has filled her dance card with the three most eligible bachelors at the ball: Baron von Peepswaddle (15,000 pounds per annum), The Earl of Peacock (15,000 pounds per annum), and none other than Lord Riginald Tightbottom (20,000 pounds per annum).
