On the windy waters of mid-October the fine artists of the Design and Engineering 12 course set sail from the south dock to the north dock in craft composed only of four cardboard boxes, one large garbage bag and 1.5 rolls of duct tape.  Two of the three vessels, captained by Mitchell P, Privett ’15 & Denver Simmermon, Ellis ’16 made the crossing safely while Jacob N’s, Whittall ’16 craft went bottom’s up. But as Meatloaf once reflected, “Two out of three ain’t bad.” I wonder if Jacobs concurs. These intrepid designers continue their engineering ways with a project to create a thermos on a budget of less than $20. I think they’re getting themselves into hot water!
